How can culture and entrepreneurial approaches be sympathetic collaborators?
Synopsis: Reflecting on her practice-led research this public talk will present the common issues faced in arts and cultural entrepreneurship. Offering approaches to supporting creative practitioners this will draw on examples from countries including Uganda, Kenya, and the UK and will reflect on the ways that generating revenue can strengthen values, relationships with stakeholders and ensure sustainability. It will consider the complexity of commercialising culture and the tension of economic value and social values.
