Taking the World Stage: Echoes of the Bay Earns International Acclaim at Ars Electronica 2026

At the 2026 Ars Electronica Festival, the world’s premier stage for media art and digital transformation, the Culture Futures Lab at LASALLE made an unforgettable mark. In collaboration with VR Artist Benedict Yu BA Arts Management Programme students designed a flagship virtual reality installation Echoes of the Bay that captured global acclaim, securing a prestigious Honorable Mention in the festival’s celebrated Campus Exhibition hosted at the University of Arts Linz.

Sustainable Fashion Event: Wear It, Share It!

Wear It, Share It reimagined fashion as a participatory ecology, moving beyond passive consumption toward collective agency. Through a clothes swap, art installation, and upcycling workshop, the event saved 85kg of garments, avoiding 2.9 tonnes of carbon emission. It demonstrates how arts management can curate social change and sustainable community practice.
