Biography

Dr. Ming Wei Ang is an interdisciplinary sociologist. He holds a Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University's Interdisciplinary Graduate Programme. His research interests include identities and intimate relationships, sexuality and gender, futures/foresight, neurodivergence (autism/ADHD experiences), and digital media.

Ming Wei's doctoral research investigated the complexities of aromantic- and asexual-spectra experiences, and how people navigate romantic relationships in dynamic and ambiguous ways. He has previously researched on a variety of topics, including autism inclusion, digital media interactions, digital trust, education mobility, and the aspirations and life trajectories of youths in Singapore.

Ming Wei has taught a range of undergraduate courses across sociology, philosophy, and communication studies across various universities, including Nanyang Technological University, University of Wollongong, and University of Newcastle Australia.
